As Winter changes to Spring Brian Campeau’s east coast album launch is coming to an end. The singer-songwriter launched his sophomore album Mostly Winter Sometimes Spring throughout September and October.
The tour has featured Brian on guitar and lead vocals accompanied with an all-girl all-star backing ensemble including Elana Stone (accordion & vocals), Lauren Yates (cello & vocals) and Nicola Ossher (percussion & vocals).
‘Mostly Winter Sometimes Spring’ was released August 1 and since then reviewers can’t get enough of the melodic tracks featured on the album. One instrument was chosen for each song on the album, and played in whichever way seemed to work best at the time. There are melodicas being hit, cellos plucked, harmoniums thrown and glockenspiels ‘strummed’. This is all a deliberate misuse of the instruments in a bid to express Campeau’s experiences over the last two years.
Brian Campeau is celebrated for his amazing vocals and unique instrumentation. And even though his tour is wrapping up, Brian has proved that he is no ordinary musician.
