It’s not a secret anymore. With a new album and their latest single ‘Transmission’, Sydney band The Dirty Secrets are back with the live energy and manic guitar riffing that has made them famous.
The album is influenced by new wave bands including Teardrop Explodes, New Order and The Chameleons and was recorded and produced by Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Presets, Sleepy Jackson).
The first track, ‘Transmission’ is best described as a mix of punk type vocals with rave synths and lush guitars. Through the album The Dirty Secrets sending a message about how the media controls the way we think to create the reality of the world we live in. I guess you could say this is poetic if not worrying!
The track was released as The Dirty Secrets went on a national tour supporting Dukes of Windsor as well as their own national tour around the east coast of Australia.
It’s definitely been a busy couple of months for The Dirty Secrets!
