One of my favourite sentences from this year has been: “Sugar Army rip indie rock a new arsehole live”. Where does my brain find these things? I do not know… but I like it! It’s brutal, it’s honest, it’s to the point.
People of Australia, you have only a few more chances to see Sugar Army tear indie rock’s metaphorical body parts in 2009 in Melbourne next Thursday 3rd December at the Evelyn Hotel and on New Years Eve in Perth at the Rosemount. Sugar boys also have a couple o’ summer festivals namely Homebake and Shiny’s beloved Pyramid Rock Festival.Then the lucky bastards get to kickstart 2010 at Southbound and – holy frikkin crap – Big Day Out nationally!!
