Shiny will be well represented at Brisbane’s annual Big Sound industry showcase in 2011, with three of our acts announced as part of the event’s musical line-up. Calling All Cars, Owl Eyes and Boy In A Box will head up to Bris-vegas this September to play alongside some of the most promising and established young bands in the country, including The Getaway Plan, Ball Park Music and Stonefield. The showcase takes place from Wed Sep 7 – Fri Sep 9 in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and is modelled on similar events in the UK and US, such as South By South West and The Great Escape.

Also announced this morning was the second round of industry panelists who will be discussing the business of music at the three-day event. One of those industry professionals is none other that Tom Larkin, who along with keeping the beat for New Zealand rockers Shihad, also manages our boys Calling All Cars and Strangers. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say Tom!
