Although the album was released in March the boys have been touring relentlessly, supporting the likes of Cog, Grinspoon, The Butterfly Effect, and a little known Australian rock band that go by the name of AC/DC, and have only just had a spare moment to squeeze in some headline shows of their own.

The excitement begins early September, with the 3-piece set to rock Bunbury in WA, before committing to a gruelling schedule that will see Calling All Cars deliver their fast-paced rock extravaganza to 14 other venues, both in capital cities and rural areas, in the short space of a month. They will be joined be Brisbane high energy rockers Numbers Radio and Perth upstarts Young Revelry.

If you can’t wait til September to see CAC in all their glory check out the Butterfly Effect support dates here.

As if the tour wasn’t exciting enough, the boys are also celebrating the addition of “Runaway” to Triple J rotation, their fifth single from Hold, Hold Fire – a feat rarely achieved by even the biggest international bands. Congrats CAC!

Melbourne trio Calling All Cars are going hunting again….not for wily wabbits but for the crème de la crème of Australian rock bands to buddy up with, cram into dilapidated vans and hotel rooms with, share riders with and to continue their steady climb to the top of the rock&roll heap.

Calling All Cars’ latest scalp is local rock icons The Butterfly Effect!

After having spent four weeks on tour with AC/DC, and five shows with Grinspoon helping them celebrate the release of their latest album Six To Midnight, our favourite trio (well outside of Larry, Moe and Curly) are preparing to put their rental digs on hold and have confirmed a 24 date national tour as special guests of The Butterfly Effect when they return to the live stage for the first time in 2010 for their “Four Wheels and a Heartbeat” Tour!

Kicking off in fine style in Adelaide on 25 June the twenty-four date roadshow will barely touch ground in a capital city, instead focusing on regional centres across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, ACT, Queensland and finishing up at the salubrious Darwin Ski Club in the Northern Territory on Friday August 6!

While you’re waiting check this bit of fun out:

That’s Adam in the picture soaking up the atmosphere under Hells Bells!

Over that time they’ve played in front of hundreds of thousands of people and they’re now about to turn the spotlight onto themselves with the release of their debut album Hold, Hold, Fire on Friday March 12.

The album features past radio favourites ‘Animal’, ‘Not Like Anybody’, ‘Hold, Hold, Fire’ and the current single “Disconnect which is all over triple j!

Calling All Cars will be stopping off in hometown Melbourne for a short, well needed break and quick shot of oxygen before getting back on the horse as special guests and main support for Oz-Rock stalwarts Grinspoon on their national Six To Midnight album launch tour through March.

But wait, there’s more…lucky Brisbane fans can catch Calling All Cars at two special shows as special guests of Clint Boge’s (Butterfly Effect) side project Thousand Needles In The Red.

Calling All Cars are steeling themselves for a hectic 2010 – be excited!

2009 was a HUGE year for Calling All Cars – the lads from Melbourne saw themselves supporting Aussie heavyweights Cog and The Butterfly Effect nationally, their two first singles were added to high rotation on triple j, they zipped across the Tasman to support Greenday in New Zealand and as an early Christmas present, Calling All Cars were bestowed with the greatest honour any Australian band could wish for; supporting AC/DC nationally! \m/

Could 2010 be any bigger? Well if the start of the year is anything to go by….YES! We can all breathe a collective “Phwoar” at the news that Calling All Cars will be supporting Grinspoon on their Six To Midnight album tour and Calling All Cars’ forthcoming album Hold, Hold, Fire is due to be unleashed on 12 March 2010.

While in town, Prince William was slipped a copy of ‘Hold, Hold’ Fire’ by one of our mysterious Shiny ninjas. Upon listening, Willy was heard saying “Coooorrrr blimey, this album’s a bloody corker, innit” ?! So for all you sceptics out there – here’s a pic of Prince William listening to ‘Hold, Hold, Fire’ while training on his royal ipod. From the photo, you’d think a Prince could afford some proper headphones.

ICE ICE BABY! Dynamic Melbourne rock trio Calling All Cars have had a watershed year, and the tide is about to turn yet again with news that Calling All Cars have been chosen to open for AC/DC on the Black Ice tour, their first Australian tour since January 2001!

After 12 months of touring more capital cities and regional towns than they can remember, road testing songs from their upcoming debut album Hold, Hold, Fire! and playing main support to Green Day in New Zealand this week, Calling All Cars have won the motza and will be revisiting Australia’s five major capital cities with AC/DC, the greatest rock and roll band on the planet!

Eleven shows over 25 days, playing to over half a million people at Australia’s best outdoor stadiums with one of the largest stage productions ever seen being moved around the country by 48 semi-trailers!

But wait, there’s more…as their pre AC/DC “warm up” shows Calling All Cars will be hitting the stage and doing what they do best at two of the biggest outdoor festivals Australia has to offer. Join them on Thursday December 31 as they help bring in a new year at Pyramid Rock Festival and on Tuesday January 26 when they will rock their home team crowd at the Melbourne Big Day Out.

Honestly kids, if i’d had held on to that info any longer i’d have burst!!
