Due to long standing personal, political, musical and business differences, MAMMAL has decided it cannot continue and is no more.

Ezekiel Ox will be releasing the debut album for his folk/rock outfit The Ox And The Fury early 2010, as well as continuing to work with super-producer and long time friend Forrester Savell on their new incarnation Smash Nova. He will also continue his activist work with Musicians Against Police Violence (MAPV) and Melbourne Copwatch.

Pete, Nick and Zane will continue to work together with a new project scheduled for 2010.

Mammal would like to thank all of their families and friends for all their love and support over these last 4 years. We would also like to give thanks and love to all the great bands we have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with, in particular Cog – a big thank you for giving us our start.

But most importantly we wish to thank the fans for their unbelievably loyal and heartfelt support which gave us the opportunity to play some amazing shows, to release our records and travel the world. We will never forget these times.

Peace, Love and Music.

Mammal

Two months after MAMMAL’s current Fuel Your Brain Tour began Melbourne’s horned beasts of hard rock will be fanging their way through NSW for possibly the last time this year.

The final performances for the Fuel Your Brain tour will end with an all mighty BANG when Mammal bring the action to Newcastle, Manly and Sydney.

With their energy levels at an all time high they are set to peak at The Manning Bar on Saturday September 5 with the announcement that this final show of the tour will also be the official album launch of a new live Mammal album!!

Entitled Vol. 2 Systematic Automatic it will be Mammal’s second live album and only available via iTunes, at Mammal shows or direct from the Mammal web store. Recorded at Sydney’s Annandale Hotel

in March 2009 to a sold out crowd, the release will also feature a full length bonus DVD with tour footage, random Mammal moments and live performances. Look out for special guest spots from Lucius Borich (Cog), Eddie Perfect (Shane Warne the musical) and Melbourne violin virtuoso Xani Kolac. You can pre-order a signed copy now through www.mammaltheband.com

Never one to rest on their laurel’s our heroes will be immediately donning their international travel costumes for a quick smash and grab tour of England where they will be supporting the international release of their debut studio album The Majority. In typical Mammal fashion they will play seven shows in eight days including three sold out gigs and will see the band play London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle and Birmingham.

The Fuel Your Brain Tour ran over 21 shows and revisited many of the areas that have supported Mammal since the release of their debut
