Praise the Pharoahs for 3 days of sunshine to compliment the vibrant line up, made better by cameos from those dapper penguins that inhabit one of Australia’s most iconic tourist destinations. Spread across 2 stages – beers were aplenty whilst dance instigators SCISSOR SISTERS counted in the new year, proving that love IS always on time, despite what yacht rockers TOTO may have once claimed. Easily one of the most feel good Pyramid Rock we have had yet, cannot wait to do it all again next New Years! The BALCONY TV crew captured some exclusive footage from a makeshift balcony in the VIP wing, so keep your peepers on lock and check out >> www.balconytv.com

If you’re from Victoria, you could be jamming alongside Scissor Sisters, The Living End and Gotye at this year’s Pyramid Rock Festival just by having your music uploaded to the Triple J Unearthed website. It’s as simple as that!

Not only will you get to share the stage with some pretty damn fine musical talent, you’ll also get VIP camping for the entire festival and $500 in cold, hard cash, not to mention all the perks of being a Triple J Unearthed band. Just ask last year’s winners NORTH EAST PARTY HOUSE about how sweet that deal is. You have until 12pm on Sunday 23 October to get your shit together so don’t waste any time!

Hard to believe we’re already seven-twelfths into 2011 and looking forward to another long, hot summer festival season, all of which wouldn’t be complete without PYRAMID ROCK FESTIVAL. Back again to rock the socks off of Phillip Island this New Year’s Eve, Pyramid Rock retruns with one of its strongest line-ups yet. But we’re keeping that under our hats for now…

What we can tell you though is that rock and roll institution ROCKWIZ will be along for the ride, opening the event on the eve of festivities. That’s right, Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis and The RocKwiz Orkestra will be taking over Pyramid Rock for a very special night of pre-game entertainment. If you wanna catch RocKwiz at Pyramid Rock Festival you’ll have to get in bright and early and nab a 3-day pass when tickets go on sale this September. The good news on that front is that all 2-day and 3-day tickets have been locked in at last year’s prices for the second year in a row! That’s a 2011 festival at 2009 prices!

In the meantime, stay tuned for the full first line-up announcement this August. And just to whet your appetite for what’s to come, check out the highlights from last year’s festival:
