Biography
When Mother dearest offloaded the cautionary advice “Don’t take candy from Strangers” in your adolescence, she failed to foresee that candy would take form in a “Red Brick” and that the alleged “Strangers” would be a rock and roll quintet from the centre of Sydney.
With confidence, charisma and a penchant for challenge, this five-piece are eager to disassociate themselves from the sweaty, balding man loitering by the school gates and establish themselves as an enjoyable Australian act (with luscious locks to boot) worthy of keeping both peepers on.
Tall, dark and hair raising – these dashing young chaps have spent the last three months between Sydney and Melbourne recording their debut album at “The Studio in the City” with Tom Larkin (Shihad, Calling all Cars) and are at last ready to crawl out of the incarceration of the studio walls and onto the rocky road to promote “Red Brick” - the debut single off their soon to be released album.
Strangers first headlining show on Saturday February 12th at Spectrum in their hometown of Sydney is sure to reignite your sweet tooth, and fortunately for those inevitable cravings, Strangers will also be supporting Shihad on their East Coast tour.
Prepare yourself for an injection of downtown sugar frenzy, abandon parental counsel, make like Bow Wow Wow and shout out “I want candy!”, and indulge your ears in the diabetic delirium that is Sydney’s Strangers.
