Shiny is looking for a PUBLICIST / PROMO PERSON

We need someone who loves music. Someone that is enthusiastic, hard working and honest. Someone dedicated to the ideal of independent music and someone who cares.

It’s a full time position based in our salubrious Melbourne office. Amongst other things you’ll plan and implement promotional strategies and activities across all media, including the production of media releases and newsletters, respond to media enquiries and liaise with our artists and clients.

The ideal person will have excellent organisation and communication skills – both written and verbal – be creative and be able to multi-task and work unsupervised. You will need experience with MS Word, MS Excel and the Internet. Database experience would be good (but not essential).

…perhaps you don’t have all those skills and think that your boundless enthusiasm, passion, people skills and general all round good karma will get you through…it might!
