No False Starts For Matt Corby

Drum roll please…..enter stage right, Matt Corby, an incredibly talented 19 year old singer songwriter all
the way from Cronulla (one of Sydney’s southern beach suburbs and home of the pitiful Cronulla Sharks Rugby League team).

Matt is recording his debut album around the world with a stellar support team, and Shiny somehow, miraculaously, joyously and happily got the call to join in on the good times.

Matt spent much of 2009 in London with incredible results: he recently signed a worldwide publishing deal with BMG out of the UK and has signed to Communion, one of the hottest independent labels in the UK, run by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons’ fame, who will be releasing Matt’s EP In September in the UK. Congrats to Sugar Army – 8 WAMi nominations!

Congratulations to SUGAR ARMY on their whopping 8 West Australia Music Industry (WAMi) Awards nominations! That’s three more nominations than the likes of Karnivool and Kill Devil Hills! Birds of Tokyo, Felicity Groom and the Black Black Smoke got four and Eskimo Joe scored three. Meanwhile, John Butler Trio, triple j Unearthed artist Tim and Jean and Gyroscope got two nominations each.

Some one, possibly God, once said that ’sex sells’. Here’s hoping they were right ’cause some one else just pointed out the headline for BRITISH INDIA’s new Avalanche Tour is mighty raunchy. That’s right Australia, British India are coming like an Avalanche!

Strap yourselves in kids ’cause The Amity Affliction are all set to embark on a large scale national tour in July to launch their new album Youngbloods, and it’s gonna be a wild ride!
