What do Split Seconds & Boom! Bap! Pow! have in common?

Yes, extraordinary tracks that make you want to attach prosthetic legs to your radio and do the cha-cha around your lounge room – is the obvious connection.

But aside from their groovin’ tunes, they also have one of the greatest band managers to boot. Meet Jacob Snell, the main man behind Shiny superstars Split Seconds and Boom! Bap! Pow!

Acknowledgement for good management is something that is usually confined to a back of stage pat on the back, but because Jacob Snell is an all round good guy and belongs to a rare breed of Management Wizards, he has been nominated for a WAMi of his own. Full Story >>

Triple threat? You bet!

As previously mentioned, the Shiny triple threat of British India, City Riots and Boy in a Box played their first inner city leg of the ‘March into the Ocean’ tour last Saturday at The Corner Hotel.

A Boxful of Eye Candy

Saturday night saw Boy in a Box playing alongside – British India and City Riots in an explosive Shiny family reunion at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne.  The dapper band of four projected an enthusiasm which was reciprocated by an equally enthuasiastic audience (a rare response from a crowd so early in the evening and depraved of intoxication). All dolled up in their matching ‘Glitter, Gold, Ruin’ shirts, Boy in a Box were one part teen dream and one part alley cat, shaken not stirred with a juicy olive on top.

If these lads have not yet set off your sweet tooth, then indulge in a viewing of their latest offering of eye candy – the brand new clip for ‘Glitter, Gold, Ruin’:

‘Glitter, Gold, Ruin’ is now available on iTunes!

Also, get out your felt pens and mark those calendars because ‘Glitter, Gold, Ruin’ b/w ‘Killing Machines’ will be out on 7” in 5 weeks!
