The Dirty Secrets go on tour

DIRTYSECRETS_wwwIt’s not a secret anymore. With a new album and their latest single ‘Transmission’, Sydney band The Dirty Secrets are back with the live energy and manic guitar riffing that has made them famous.

The album is influenced by new wave bands including Teardrop Explodes, New Order and The Chameleons and was recorded and produced by Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Presets, Sleepy Jackson).

The first track, ‘Transmission’ is best described as a mix of punk type vocals with rave synths and lush guitars. Through the album The Dirty Secrets sending a message about how the media controls the way we think to create the reality of the world we live in. I guess you could say this is poetic if not worrying!

The track was released as The Dirty Secrets went on a national tour supporting Dukes of Windsor as well as their own national tour around the east coast of Australia.

It’s definitely been a busy couple of months for The Dirty Secrets!

Does It Offend You, Yeah? finishes 2009 Tour

DIOYY_wwwAfter their energetic and explosive performances, Does It Offend You, Yeah? has wrapped up their Australian tour.

In September the electro punks played shows in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.

With their mix of dirty rock and electronic music it’s no wonder Does It Offend You, Yeah? has left fans wanting more.

At every DIOYY? gig there’s always something unusual to see whether it’s euphoric dancing, stage diving, broken instruments and disturbingly, broken limbs! If there’s one thing you can say about Does It Offend You, Yeah? it’s that you should expect the unexpected!

And now, sadly, it’s time to say good bye to the dance floor DJ’s while they’re away working on the follow up album to 2008’s debut, You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into.

Does it offend you that they’re leaving? Yeah…but don’t worry, they’ll be back!
