Sink your teeth into Calling All Cars’ new music video

Calling All Cars recently released the first track off their as yet untitled second album. The song is called Reptile and, just between you and me, it rocks pretty hard. Its accompanying music video is pretty rocky too, in so far as there are rocks visible in it. The video also features some pretty cool anthropomorphism, a slow-motion chase sequence and three ruggedly handsome guys called playing their instruments out in the desert. Check it out below and keep your eyes peeled for more info on Calling All Cars’ new album soon!

Owl Eyes swooping in on a town near you

Our brilliant, beautiful girl Owl Eyes is about to head off on a national tour to lanuch her cracking new single ‘Raiders’. The 20-year-old girl wonder has recently come off the road with the dynamic Darwin Deez, who apparently took quite a shining to Miss Owl Eyes (and who could blame him?). Going from one international support to the next, Owl Eyes will preface her ‘Raiders’ launch tour with a one-off opening slot for American songstress Lissie at her Melbourne headline show.

There’s lots to be excited about in camp Owl Eyes at the moment. The Raiders EP is expected to drop soon, with a much larger tour expected to follow. Keep your owl eyes peeled for more information as it comes in. Meanwhile, check her out at one of these dates:

Check out our Shiny new Facebook page

Taking a break from spruiking the wares of all our amazing artists, we thought we’d give ourselves a bit of a word-up. We here at Team Shiny have finally caught up with the times and created ourselves our very own lil’ Facebook page. At the time of writing this we have 168 fans. To put that in context that’s 19,453 less than British India, 1,227,217 less than Charlie Sheen and 34,154,731 less than Lady Gaga. Clearly, there’s some room for improvement.

So if you wanna keep up with all the latest wheelings and dealings of our sensational clients and other stuff going on at Shiny Entertainment, ‘Like’ us now. And while you’re at it, ‘Follow’ us on Twitter – don’t worry, we won’t take out a restraining order against you.

Got Low Self Esteem??

Well kiddies this is my final ever contribution to the Shiny site! Rather than conclude with anecdotes of entertaining moments, a list of highlights or even heartfelt tales of my time at Shiny (believe me I could come up with long long long long long list) I will leave you with the latest on the road clip from my favourite band boys!

It has been an absolute pleasure and I will miss all my bands and the Shiny staff immensely

On the road with City Riots

Crazy Adelaide lads, City Riots, are fast becoming fully fledged touring rock stars! Currently on the road with fellow Shiny kids Boy In A Box, they are helping seasoned travellers and all round bad influences British India launch their new single “March Into The Ocean” nationally. This touring triple header is undoubtedly the greatest show of current Australian independent music in the southern hemisphere!!

Visiting places these they have never been before, these vulnerable South Australians have many a tale to tell from their first nine shows. From blowing up PAs in Griffith, braving grasshopper plagues in Wagga Wagga, having journalists throw up on their car after partying too hard in Melbourne, to impromptu blues jams with Boy In A Box and Declan from British India somewhere in between, this is one tour diary worth reading. They are pushing their skinny jeans to the absolute limit and exploring regional towns armed only with guitars and a very dodgy GPS.

Check out their first tour diary below and prepare yourself for many more antics and anecdotes in the coming weeks.

City Riots will be releasing their long awaited, highly anticipated debut album later this year. If you have tickets to any of the British India shows make sure you arrive early to hear a sneak peek of what’s to come… pretty confident you won’t be disappointed!!
